Transforming Grind Into Glory

What do you think would completely transform and fulfil your life if it happened?

The Grind Of Life

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV)

I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. I have labouredand toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. 2 Corinthians 11:23–27 (NIV)

Temptations In The Grind

1. The Pillow

Timothy, please come as soon as you can. Demas has deserted me because he loves the things of this life and has gone to Thessalonica. 2 Timothy 4:9–10 (NLT)

Then He called the crowd to Him along with His disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow Me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. Mark 8:34-35 (NIV)

2. The Shiny Thing

Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don’t have. Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless—like chasing the wind.Ecclesiastes 6:9 (NLT)

Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smoothly before you. Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust. Proverbs 4:25–27 (MSG)

3. The Towel

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

He got up from the meal, took off His outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around His waist. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash His disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around Him. John 13:4–5 (NIV)

4. By God’s Grace

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 1 Corinthians 15:10 (NIV)

5. By The Spirit

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to His cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.Galatians 5:24–25 (NLT)

6. With Thanksgiving

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV)

7. All For God’s Glory

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV)

You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being.” Revelation 4:11 (NIV)

God is love. 1 John 4:8 (NIV)

Perichoresis is a theological concept that describes the relationships within the Godhead. It illustrates a Divine Dancederived from Greek. Peri means “around,” and choreo is where we get the word “choreography.”

“God did not create us to get the cosmic, infinite joy of mutual love and glorification, but to share it.” Tim Keller.

Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. I have given them the glory that you gave Me, that they may be one as We are One. John 17:21–22 (NIV)
